This notice describes what kind of data Om Department and its representatives (“we”, “us” and “our”) collect and hold, what we do with your data and what rights you have in relation to it. By attending our classes or visiting this website, you are accepting the terms of this notice.

Types of information collected

We retain two types of information:

This is data that identifies you or can be used to identify you and may include your name, company name, address, email address, telephone number (all of which you voluntarily submit to us).

We may collect Personal Data when you create an account or visit the website, when you contact us (including if you send us job applications), engage with us on social media, enter into a promotion or prize draw, answer a survey or provide feedback, enter into any contractual arrangements with us or attend yoga classes.

  • Non-Personal Data

Like other websites, we gather logging information for all visitors to our website. This Non-Personal Data comprises your web browser’s details and public IP address, which is information that cannot be used to identify or contact you.

Purposes for which we hold your information

  • Non-Personal Data

We use the Non-Personal Data gathered from visitors to our website to endeavour to protect the website from unauthorised use, to assist with trouble shooting and to help us better design and organise our website.

  • Cookies

This website uses “cookies” . A cookie is text stored by the browser on your computer, at the request of our server. We use cookies to improve your experience when using the website. You may block our cookies. You can also delete cookie files from your computer at your discretion. Note however, that if you block or delete our cookies or ask for notification each time a cookie is being sent, some of the features and services of the website will not function properly.

  • Personal Data

We will process any Personal Data for the purposes described in this notice, including:
(i) to provide you with the services you have requested, including processing bookings, sending reminders and notifying you about changes to the services;
(ii) to contact you in connection with a request or to respond to any communications you might send to us, including job applications;
(iii) to keep records, including of correspondence and contractual arrangements, and to plan and conduct customer service efficiently and effectively;
(iv) to produce and send invoices;

(vi) to send you surveys, requests for feedback, newsletters, promotions, event alerts, information about product releases, service notifications including for new services, and to communicate with you about relevant industry information and activities, unless you unsubscribe or ask not to receive this information.

We do not sell, trade or rent your Personal Data to others. All information is used solely for the purposes described in this notice.

We will disclose your Personal Data if we believe in good faith that we are required to disclose it to comply with any applicable law, a summons, a search warrant, a court or regulatory order, or other statutory requirement, or to protect or defend our rights.

Sale of business

We reserve the right to transfer information (including your Personal Data) to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership or transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of Om Department, provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this notice and provided that the third party only uses your Personal Data for the purposes that you provided it to us. You will be notified in the event of any such transfer and you will be afforded an opportunity to request that your Personal Data is not transferred.

Security and retention

Your Personal Data is held by us in accordance with applicable requirements and we take reasonable steps (including appropriate technical and organisational measures) to protect your Personal Data. We do not store your credit card information, number, expiry date or CVV security code. To ensure optimal security, we use a third party (PayPal.com) to process payments.

We store your Personal Data in the UK.

The length of time we retain Personal Data is determined by a number of factors, including the purpose for which we use that information and our legal obligations.

Transfer of data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. If you are located outside United Kingdom and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United Kingdom and process it there.

Website users under 18

When you provide information about yourself as a user of the website, you are representing yourself as 18 years of age or older. Our policy is that we do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information about visitors under 18 years of age. The website contains external links to other websites and we have no control over and are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies or practices of these other websites or their services.

Any changes to this notice will be posted on this website so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any time we decide to use Personal Data in a manner significantly different from that stated in this notice, or otherwise disclosed to you at the time it was collected, we will notify you by email, and you will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in the new manner.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This notice is governed by the laws of England and Wales and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
